so i have had a topic heavy on my mind for months

ad months

and months

what im wondering is what gives a woman the right to go after something that clearly should not be taken

of course the men are at fault too

dont get me wrong

but if yousee someone that apears to be happy and content

why go after it and mess those feelings

these type of women are nothing but trash to me

if you are one of them and i offended you

well im not sorry

think about the family you are hurting

including your own

think about the clueless woman who believes that everything in her life is perfect and happy

and if you do this to a friend

well shame on you

because then you are really evil and deserve to rot in hell

just because you are not happy in your own life

why steal it from someone else

so if you are considering to do this

think long and hard about the outcome

because it may be all fun in the beginning but it never has a happy ending.

one of them was suppposed to be my friend

but instead decided she liked someone very close to me

that was the start of a lovely summer

having a friend betray you is one of the worst things you can ever go through

add another person in the equation

and that equals a heartbreak

i honestly do not want to go into detail on this

but im sure you are getting the point

i have lost any trust in anyone i have ever had

i never had girl friends until recently

and this is why

i am back to not having girl friends

july 28th

will never escape my head

{ a loss of my own }

after reading casey's post on her own loss

i thought i would share mine...

2001

i had my own loss

we had been married a year

victoria was 3

and we had just bought our first house

we ridiculously young

me 22

mark 24

i found out a few weeks before 9-11

i was heartbroken when i found out

victoria was a hard pregnancy

and i swore i was done

but god had other plans

i cried for days

blamed mark for getting me pregnant

as i told my family they were super excited for me

which slowly got me excited

ill never forget the day i saw blood

i called my doctor right away and told me to come first thing in the morning

i prayed that it was not what i thought it was

i was not cramping so i had hope

the doctor could not find the heartbeat so i went in in for a sonogram

the whole time im praying please if i lost it let there be 2 so i can still have one

after waiting an hour

there was our little baby

with no heartbeat

and only 1

i was crushed...

i blamed myself

i felt god was punishing me

i cried for days

the next day i woke up in excruciating pain

that whole day

i hurt

mentally and physically

and that night the tiny little baby entered the world

it was the size of a walnut

i cried like i never cried before

i knew then that i wasn't done

i wanted another little baby

that victoria should not grow up alone

thankfully mark felt the same

we did not wait the full 2 months

i could'nt and a few weeks later

i was pregnant again

and boy was this baby healthy, because i had never been so sick in my life

but i never complained

instead i embraced it

and before i knew it

little gracie came into our world

and shortly behind her was mark

god has blessed us in so many ways

no matter how rough things get for us

i know he is just testing us

he only gives what he knows we can handle

i feel honored that he knows that we are so strong

it makes me feel proud

to this day i think of that little lost soul

i am no longer sad

but happy

happy the lesson it taught me

and happy that i will always have a little angel looking over me...

{house tour #1}

so as some of you know

we had to move

again....

we moved into this house a couple of months ago

another rental

but all in all

a very cute house

and the landlord is cool in that we can do whatever we want:)

so im starting with the bathroom

i just want to show the before

it is a gray color

and im going to accent with yellow

of course

im going to spray paint the towel racks and such black

im going to keep the shower curtain

because it is a white waffle one and i love it

the pink towel has got to go

so does the white cabinet and white mirror

that will be painted black

with some hardware added to it

im also going to paint the countertop

yup, like i did at my old house

i will paint it to look granite

and that hideous light fixture from the 80's

is going bye-bye as well

I'm weird because...i absolutely love school

my favorite movie is stomp the yard and i watch about once a week

sometimes twice

i adore chris brown even though he has a bad rep

i love when it is 100 and humid... hello maryland weather!

i would rather eat healthy than a big piece of cake

my kids are healthy

my hair is super long

im working out again

and tanning again:)

yesterday I sent in my paperwork for my education practicum

i am so much closer to my goal than ever realized

this means i am almost complete with my associates

being a teacher is something that i have always dreamed of

and once my own kids went to schol i knew it was time for me to go

i put it off for awhile

scared of taking out loans

absolutely petrified of math

but most of all

scared of failing

i started this journey in the spring of 2010

and as much as work as it is

i love it

i love knowing that one day

i canhelp provide for the family

that we will no longer live pay check to pay check

that i will be helping little kids learn

and hopefully make a difference in their lives

sometimes i can't beleve i am actually doing this

that i am living my dream

of course there are times when i want to give up

especially over the summer i was done!

i am so glad i did not

even with all the hardship i have been enduring

i am proud to say that i have managed to keep a 3.2 gpa

proving to me that i can do anything that i set my mind to

and i am so much stronger than i could have ever imagined

God is so good:)

so me and this gorgeous chic went to dc yesterday

her class went to the holocaust museum

and well we forgot to turn in her slip

so i said i would take her instead...

the day started with me getting pulled over

on suitland parkway

if you live in the maryland area you know

its almost impossible to get pulled over in pg county

because well, they are too busy with murder investigations

ok, maybe im exagerating, but...

anyways, the cop gave me a citation.

good times :(

we go on our way

spent about 30 mins looking for parking and i find a garage

that is not full yet

but $18

oh well

the dude says park your car here

thought it was a weird spot said ok

park my car

and we are on our way

so now we are trying to find the museum

and let me tell you

IT WAS COLD

a cop warns us that a weird guy is following us

we keep walking in circles

and finally after another 30 mins we find the museum

it was a sad, depressing museum:(

but if you ever come to dc you should go

just dont bring young kids

they dont really allow it

so we had back to the garage

thank you sweet baby Jesus we did not get lost

find the car

and see that we have a parking ticket and its going to be booted

parked illegally it says

what the hell

the dude told me to park there

and i was about to go nuts he shows up

says he yelled for me to leave the keys

at this point i am in tears

the day was a disaster

i swear to god i did not hear him

and the heavens opened up

and you know what

he changed his dimeanor

and said he believed me

told me he was sorry

and he let go

what??

i never have this kind of luck

i could have kissed his feet

we go on our way

get lost in the garage

and finally we made it home

it was adventure

but we laughed about it on the way home

once we safely made it into maryland!

my dream has always been to live in dc

well, tori says im cut out for it!

i think i could learn;)

and i am bummed that i did not take any pictures...

of the capitol or the pencil

i had every intention of going a run today

how running is so calming and helps ease your mind

What accomplishments am I proud of from 2011?

staying in school and still maintaining an awesome gpa with all the drama i went through (more on that later)

What brave chances did I take?

i gotta say alot were in colorado... climbed to the top of a waterfall.

if you know me, you know i hate heights!

When did I impress myself?

when i got a backbone and stood up for what i believed in and allowed myself to cut ugly out of my life!

Which relationships did I strengthen?

my extended family, it has been awhile since we were close but i feel we are on the right track:)

What did I create?

not much, because of school, but i am changing that this year!

especially because i finally learned how to crochet!

How did I nurture my relationship with my body?

oh boy, i had my body looking amazing at one point... abs and all, but then certain events had me fall off the ladder and well become scary skinny.

that i am changing this year!

What were some fun ways I pampered myself?

tanning!

i know, i know...

but i seriously love to tan

and i was the darkest i had ever been!

What setbacks did I greet with grace and courage?

this involves a whole 'nother post!!!

but i am proud of how i came back in full force!

there is no way to go but up!

to stay in school and keep good grades

as i have stated before this has been a tough year...

for the both of us

one that i would never want to relive ever in my life

one i wouldn't wish on my worst enemy

my whole world changed in one day

july 28th

a day that will stay in my mind forever

without going into detail

(because im saving it for a whole 'nother post)

i will tell you that i found out that nobody

and i mean NOBODY

could be trusted

in my eyes

i felt the only person i could was myself

i felt all i had was myself

i had so much hatred in me

that i couldn't bear it

i quit going to church

i quit smiling

i cried almost everyday

i didn't eat for two solid weeks

i was at my lowest

and i hated it

my self esteem was gone

a month ago i finally went back to church

wow

i felt like the priest was talking to ME!

once again i quit going

they say GOD only gives you what you can handle

i didn't understand why he did this to me

i felt like he hated me and was punishing me

it brought me to a cold ugly place

i was cold

i had no love

and i kept to myself

i am slowly coming out of my fog

after a major breakdown a few weeks ago

i started to craft again

i started to read blogs again

one blog in particular opened my eyes to things

and i am slowly forgiving people and myself

i know i may never forget

and i guess i don't want to forget

i am ready for a new year

for new beginnings

i lost so much this year

i am ready to gain alot more back

they say

"after every storm is a rainbow"

i can finally start to see the rainbow!

{infinity scarf tutorial}

crocheting and finger knitting

i gotta say that i am hooked on the finger knitting

it is so easy

no counting to worry about

or dropped stitches

it's relaxing

and before you know it

you made an adorable infinity scarf

like this one

i used the yard i had on hand

which isn't the prettiest

today i am buying pretty colors

with pretty textures

that are fluffy and soft

then i will show you how adorable they are

i crocheted this infinity scarf here

this one is easy too

just a simple chain stitch

but for this you have to count and my ocd was kicking in

and i got bored

i made 7 separate chains of 120 stitches

and when i finished the chains i wrapped them all together with yarn for an intersting looking

you can kindof see it above

don't know how to do a chain stitch?

here is a simple video on how to do it. :)

its been awhile

you have to believe me shen i say i have been busy

i am currently taking 4 classes

yes, 4!!

one of them is zoology

mixed w/chemistry and physics

sigh...

oh, and

we are moving

yet again!

im not happy about it

but some things you just cant control

such as this case

the house we are in now the owners wanna short sale

sooooo

yea, time to move on

we found a cute little house

and i mean little!!!

but the rent is dirt cheap

which will help us save money and find a better place next year

so yea, the plan is to stay only a year!!

what a summer let me tell you

i totally survived in more ways than one!

not with just my personal issues going on

but also the obstacles that mother nature threw in our way

first it started with an earthquake

yes, on the east coast

what the hell!

the kids had just left to go to the beach

i was upstairs watching them in the window when a slight shaking occured

then all at once it got more intense

pictures were coming off the walls & everything

then it was over

i was freaking out

my first though

we had been attacked!

living so close to dc i always think the worst!

then a few days later we get horrible storms

tornadoes forming and everythig

oh it was a bad one

then we have hurricane irene

she was cruel

let me tell you

the basement flooded

but thankfully we lost no trees

because let me tell you they were down everywhere

we lost power for about a week

so lost all our food as well

oh & we had no water

fun times people!

now we are dealing with flooding

thanks to ts lee

its been raining since monday & looks like it will keep raining until monday!

its depressing

so depressing

this summer i have been totally obsessed with chris brown

i can't get enough

since my summer class has started it's back to shorter workouts

it's time anyway

my workouts have become sort of a rut

so i needed something new

i went back to jillian michaels again

but was bored as shizzzz

then was on demand friday & i see something

new...

i look it over

im intrigued

i try it out

o.m.g!!

my ass was on fire!

i do tons of squats & lunges

but seriously this kicked my ass

basically it's a 6 week program broken down into workout sessions

kinda like jillian

she also has an upper body one as well

just on level 1 you do leg lifts, lying knee & leg lifts {killer},

various squats, lunges

some deadlifts thrown into the mix

i will definitely keep up with this since my class is a month long

im hoping to see some new results

come back tommorow for my review of the upper body workout

the begining of july is super busy for us

yesterday victoria turned

13!!

today gracie turns

9!!

no it was not planned this way

in fact my due for victoria was not until aug 7th

gracie was july 16th

crazy how things work out

as they get older

the tougher back to back birthdays get

very expensive!

i love the fact both girls have a dream

victoria wants to go to kentucky university & cheer for them since they have the best cheer program

she has also talked about being a marine biologist

gracie

wants to be a veterinarian

both very ambitious girls

who are very smart

get good grades

they will have no problem achieving their dreams!

what i do have to say don't really go together

i am in a rush since i have to get ready and head to school to take out more money to pay for it

i was 1 poit away from making the dean's list this semester

1 measly point!

my nails did not like colorado

i now have too very short nails

my tan is fading so i layed out yesterday & got stupid tan lines

my english class started yesterday

it will be a doozy of a class

lot's of reading short stories, writting eassays & tests

all in a 6 week period:/

we did not go see the fireworks

we were still exhausted from coming in at 4 in the morning

we are planning to see our besties again in february

this time disney world

only 224 more days, but who's counting?? ;)

i got back to my workouts yesterday after taking a week long break

my abs hurt!

i lost weight while on vacation

who the hell does that??

finding a bathing suit this year has been impossible

big brother starts tommorow night

we had a blast visiting our friends

they have pretty much became fam{ily} to us now

there youngest child is our god daughter:)

we spent our time camping in the mountains

going to the garden of gods

rocky mountains all the way up to the top with an elevation of 12,000!!

fed the giraffes at the denver zoo

went to seven falls & climbed to the top 225 steps!

checked out the air force academy

played at the lake && did a few rides

we did so much & are still exhausted

{good for you chocolate strawberry crepes}

it's been awhile since i have done a recipe

last week i made the kids strawberry crepes

i have always been kindof intimidated by them

but seriously

super easy peasy to make

this recipe is not bad for you at all

chocolate strawberry crepes

ingredients:

1 cup of flour

2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder

1 tbsp powdered sugar

1 1/2 cup skim milk

2 large egg whites

1 large egg {egglands best}

1 tsp oil

container of strawberrries sliced

fat free cool whip

chocolate syrup to drizzle

blend together first 7 ingredients until smooth using a mixture. meanwhile heat your pan on medium heat then spray with non stick cooking spray.

laddle 1/4 of mixture into pan swirling it around pan to make it thin & smooth {i used a small pan}.

cook for a minute or two, then flip. Don't be scared this part was easier than it sounded!

cook for about a minute, then plate it

add two daloops of cool whip down the middle spreading it. add a couple of sliced strawberries, then fold both ends over.

sprinkle a bit of powdered sugar & drizzle some chocolate syrup

you are done!

super easy & fancy looking!

this will make 12 servings

1 serving size is only 1/2 grams of fat with 24 carbs and almost 4 grams of protein!

guilt free!!!!

last day of school we always go to solomons island & go to cone island for an ice cream cone

then we visit the fun little shops

i love living here it's a vacation all the time!

we should hopefully be getting our couch sometime this weekend

so i have been busy getting the outside all ready to bring out the outdoor furniture

we got our canopy...

right now i just have the bistro set out there and the rug

but i can't wait to get the furniture out there

and some lights

it is going to be soooo cute!

potted plants are always nice to have

perfect way to add a splash of color

hopefully i can keep them alive & not kill them:)

i also figured why waste space

utilize every bit of it

so idecided to restain this little bench

add some flowers....

and also add a fire pit

which i still need to paint since it got rusted

a nice little area to sit and roast marshmallows

i want to get a couple of outdorr throw pillows for the bench to add some color

but i really like how it turned out

well i think our spring may be overe

i had to break down & turn on the AC yesterday

if you live on the east coast you know how bad the humudity gets

it pretty much sucks!

especially on my hair

no straigtning it for awhile it looks like

been pretty busy around here

mostly working out

i know, i have no life

but today i am doing a quick ab routine & then going to do a bit around the house!

may even get out my sewing machine!

we got a new canopy for the backyard

im just waiting on our couch for the basement to put the rest of the stuff outside

i would like to have it all set up for the weekend:)

What a crazzzzzy stressful week

Finals are finally over

Now i have 2 months to do....

Nothing!

I am bored already

I started my weight training this week

Love it

I love using weights

I was getting totally bored with the dvds

i just want to say thanks again for all the super duper comments

you guys totally made my weekend

im sorry i didn't get to respond to everyone

but i was pretty busy around here

and i had a pretty heavy heart...

here's what's going on

- i dyed my hair dark again, i couldn't handle the highlights people thought i was in highschool!

-this week is spring break for the kids & i am already losing my mind

- ibought an old vintage kitchen table & headboard on friday to refinish & i am in love!

- i have 2 weeks of school left

- we took the kids to see rio in 3d & it was soooo good! i highly recommend

- i did not realize this sunday is easter

- i have tons of school projects due

- my yard is full of weeds that i finally started to pull

- i finally got my base tan {this is exciting to me}

i don't have any pictures because my camera is dead, im sorry

good morning my loves!!

today begins week 2 of the shred

who is with me?

as you know i had been doing shred it with weights

but after a month it's time for a new workout

so that your body does not go into a rut

it needs something new & exciting to keep it going

since this is my last month of this semester

i figured i would work on the shred

and next month move back to my heavy weight lifting

but for now this is my routine

i do the shred monday thru thursday

friday is my day off, because you have to litsen to your body & my body usually tells me by then to chill out!!

saturday i spend my morning on my abs

jillians 6 week to a 6 pack

honestly you really only eed to work on your abs once a week

and let me tell you

omg

that workout is a killer but it is working!

for reals!

then sunday is my next day off

this routine totally works for me

everybody is different so what works for me may not be the same for you

i am slowly trying to get used to the hair

i think i will keep it for the weekend & see

you have to remember it has been like 3 years of dark brown almost black hair

so it's a big adjustment! ;)

i just wanted to pop by real quick & do a little review for ya!

i was bored yesterday && feeling a litle brave i am usually leaving my nails naked

but alot of you, i noticed do some really cute colors

so i decided to try!

out of the box for me!

if you are interested

i got it at target for $1.99

and you should see all the bright pretty colors

i had a hard tme choosing

but i think i might go back today for more!

i wanted to test it out first to see how i like it

i love it!

it goes on smoothly

it appears to be matte at first but if you add a topcoat then it will give it a glossy effect

but for $1.99

you just can

t beat it!

so that is my littl show n tell for the day

now time to go work on my abs
